After Life
On afterlife, they
believed in the reincarnation cycle that continued until the soul
had learned the way of Brahman as it applied to man. If the soul had
learned Dharma "Moral Law" and achieved the appropriate behavior
here on earth then the wheel of births and rebirths would stop, and
you would experience Nirvana forever. It should be noted that this
reincarnation cycle rewarded or punished based on the deeds of the
previous life but passed on no memory, only inclination. Thus, upon
death, your Karma was determined and you would be reborn into an
appropriate position. The reward and punishment continued in this
manner until you complied by your own free will to the way of
Brahman by finding Dharma, its Moral Order, as it was reflected in
human affairs.
